Anglers reminded to consistently check Ice Thickness
The Minnesota Ice Fishing Season is underway, and anglers are reminded to prioritize ice safety, especially as the ice is still in its early stages of development on most lakes. Polk County Sheriff Jim Tadman reminds anglers about the recommended ice thickness levels for vehicle usage.
Tadman also reminds anglers that it’s their responsibility to be checking ice thickness before usage.
More ice safety materials, and ice fishing regulations can be seen on the Minnesota DNR website at www.dnr.state.mn.us.
