Halstad City Council Meets

HALSTAD, MN—Monday night’s Halstad City Council meeting included a Truth in Taxation hearing and a vote on the City’s 2026 budget.  Halstad Mayor Darin Johnson tells us what the Council decided.

Johnson says Halstad’s property tax rate compares favorably with other cities in the area.

Also at Monday’s Halstad City Council meeting, the Council heard an appeal about a property that had several vehicles on it.  The owners appealed a letter from the City and asked for more time to get things in order.  Johnson says the Council granted that request and will review the matter again at its February meeting.
