Mahnomen School Board certifies 2026 levy, approves resignation of principal 

The Mahnomen School Board certified their 2026 levy at their regular meeting on Monday night. Mahnomen Superintendent Andrea Simon says the levy was certified after their Truth and Taxation meeting, which happened ahead of the regular meeting. 

Simon says the board also held a public hearing ahead of their truth and taxation meeting, and she explains what for. 

Simon says the board also approved the resignation of one of their principals, and she tells us how they’re planning to fill the position. 

Other items from Monday’s meeting included staff resignations, the approval of job postings, and the approval of an overnight field trip for the Mahnomen/Waubun baseball team.
