Fosston at Bagley

The Fosston Greyhounds overcame a 12-1 deficit in the first half and rallied to beat the Flyers in Bagley 52-43. The first seven points scored by the Greyhounds came at the free throw line and they didn’t score their first field goal until 9:02 remained in the first half. The Greyhounds trailed 27-22 at halftime but used an 11-0 run to help them build a 33-27 lead in the second half. Brielle Duppong led the Greyhounds with 21 points and was 10 for 13 at the free throw line. Miley Hove added 15 points and 6 rebounds for the Greyhounds as they improve to 8-5 overall and 5-3 in the Pine to Prairie Conference. The Greyhounds have won four of their last five games with the lone setback coming against East Grand Forks Sacred Heart. Mazie Hoie scored 23 points and Whitney Plante added 17 points and 8 rebounds for Bagley as the Flyers suffered their seventh straight loss and fall to 2-10 overall and 1-6 in the conference. Free throw shooting was big as Fosston shot 18 of 23 at the line while the Flyers were 7 for 13 at the stripe. The Flyers didn’t score their first points in the second half until 4:35 had expired. Claire Klinkhammer came off the Fosston bench to score 6 points and pull down 3 rebounds. Fosston won the “B” Squad game 26-7 (two ten minute halves). Fosston defeated Bagley 71-24 when they played in Fosston on December 2nd. The Greyhounds are off until Friday, January 16th when they host the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons while the Flyers will play their next game on Monday, January 12th when they travel to Climax/Fisher to face the Knights.
