In a game that saw 20 lead changes and 6 ties, the DGF Rebels needed to sweat out the games final play, and would hang on to defeat Mahnomen Waubun 62-61.  The Thunderbirds held a 32-31 lead at half time, neither team would lead by more than five points in the game.  The Thunderbirds would have a chance to take the lead with 39 seconds left with Brody Lhotka missing both free throws, and the game score would hold at 62-61 as DGF ran the clock down to take a shot with 5 seconds left, but the shot missed and missed the rim as well, and the shot clock violation gave Mahnomen Waubun the ball with 3.1 seconds to play and a chance to win.  The Thunderbirds dialed up a play to get the ball to Anthony Thompson with a chance at a close bucket, but he would miss and the Rebels would hang on to win.
