Mahnomen Waubun avenged an early season loss with a 81-66 win over NCE-UH.  The teams played close in the 1st half with 5 lead changes and a 1 point game at the half with Mahnomen Waubun leading 35-34.  In the 2nd half the Thunderbirds amped up the defense and hit the glass to dominate the rebound catagory.  NCE-UH was able to hit several 3s throughout the night with Jace Braseth hitting 6 of them but had to battle through foul trouble.  Mahnomen Waubun did a great job scoring in transition which was the big difference down the stretch giving the Thunderbirds their 6th win of the season as they are now 6-5 and dropped NCE-UH to 5-5.
