Goodridge/Grygla at Win-E-Mac
Recap
Goodridge/Grygla at Win-E-Mac
Erskine, MN — The Goodridge/Grygla Chargers rolled past the Win-E-Mac Patriots 68–39 on Friday night, pulling themselves back to .500 on the season.
Defense set the tone from the opening tip. The Chargers focused their game plan on containing Win-E-Mac standout Joe Courneya, assigning Sawyer Jacobson to shadow him throughout the night. Jacobson’s relentless pressure disrupted the Patriots’ rhythm, and Goodridge/Grygla controlled the first half, heading into the break with a 34–18 lead.
The momentum never shifted after halftime. The Chargers stretched their advantage to 20 points just seven minutes into the second half, continuing to smother the Patriots offensively. Win-E-Mac managed only 13 points the rest of the way as Goodridge/Grygla closed out the convincing 68–39 victory.
The win marks the Chargers’ third straight, improving their record to 6–6. They return home Monday to host Roseau. Win-E-Mac, now 5–7 after dropping its fifth straight, will look to regroup on the road at Park Christian next Tuesday
