Snow removal reminders 

Snow removal is something all homeowners need to do this time of year, but there are some things that are often forgotten. Ada Assistant Fire Chief Shawn Roux says one thing that’s often forgotten is removal of snow from gas meters, which can become a very dangerous hazard. 

Roux also reminds homeowners to make sure their furnace vents are also clear of snow. 

If your property has a fire hydrant on it, Roux says your help in removing the snow around it is also appreciated, and could make a difference in an emergency.
