With cold temperatures ahead, parents encouraged make sure children are dressed for the weather
Temperatures have been very cold the last couple days, and they won’t be getting warmer anytime soon. For this reason, Hillsboro High School Principal Carly Theis says it’s important for parents to make sure their kids are properly dressed for the weather, especially those older students, who are often unprepared for the cold.
On top of wearing the appropriate clothing, teens should also have a winter survival kit in their vehicle, consisting of blankets, food, gloves, hats, a shovel, and any other appropriate survival items.
