Hillsboro teacher named “Art Teacher of the Year” 

The Hillsboro Art Teacher Jamie Worden was recently named as the North Dakota Art Teacher of the Year, and the Hillsboro School District is celebrating this major accomplishment. R&J News had the chance to catch up with Worden, who says one of her students nominated her for the award. 

Worden shares some of her background in education, as well as how she ended up teaching in Hillsboro. 

Worden says introducing art as an option to students, and advocating for them is what drives her to keep doing what she does, each and every day. 

As for her favorite part about teaching, Worden says it’s the growth she constantly sees in her students.
