The Fosston Greyhounds hit ten 3 pointers and never trailed as they defeated the Win-E-Mac Patriots 77-50 at the Fosston Gym on Monday night. Brielle Duppong led the Greyhounds with 25 points and hit five 3 pointers in the game. Hannah Fonder came off the bench and hit four 3 pointers and scored 18 points for Fosston. Miley Hove added 13 points and Lexy Illies 12 points for Fosston as the Greyhounds improve to 10-8 overall and 6-5 in the Pine to Prairie Conference. Lauren Kaupang led the Patriots with 17 points as they fall to 4-16 overall and 0-11 in the conference. Paige Breitbach added 14 points and Ensley Haskett 9 points for Win-E-Mac. It was the second win for Fosston over Win-E-Mac this season as the Greyhounds won 64-38 at Win-E-Mac on December 19th. The Greyhounds shot 12 of 16 at the free throw line while the Patriots were 10 for 17 at the stripe. Fosston won the “B” Squad game 59-28. The Patriots will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Mahnomen/Waubun (3:30 pm on 101.5 FM & YLE). The Greyhounds are off until Thursday, February 5th when they travel to Climax/Fisher (YLE).
