Ada-Borup-West at Bagley
Recap
Ada-Bourp-West started quickly by getting off to a 9-0 lead. Bagley was quick to answer by putting up 6 straight. From that point on it was a game of mini runs, 4-0 run here, a 5-0 run there. Bagley got as close as 1 point and had several opportunities to take their first lead late in the first half, but Ada-Borup-West would take a 5 point lead into the break 36-31. Bagley scored first to start the second half with a Drayden Thompson triple, but the Cougars clawed their way to 13-2 run from that point to give them a 13 point lead. It would get as close as 7 points, but the lead would hover around 10-13 for a majority of the second half though. Bagley’s Trenton Frazier did his best to keep his team in the game scoring 14 of his 20 points in the second half, but ultimately the aggressive defense of the Cougars was too much as they won by 11 78-67.
Both teams had a balanced scoring attack with 4 scorers hit double digit points on each team. Ada-Borup-West gets back to .500 at 8-8 and they’ll play next at the Target Center on Saturday against Lake Park-Audubon. Bagley falls to 9-11 and be on the road on Monday versus Lake of the Woods.
