Erskine, MN — The Win E Mac Patriots Girls Basketball Team picked up their fifth win of the season after beating the NCE/U-H Titans 49-29 on Thursday night.

It took a few minutes for either team to get on the scoreboard to begin the game and the first half overall was low scoring with the Patriots leading just 13-10 at the 6:47 mark. Win E Mac would build a 10 point lead later in the half and the deficit was 29-29 in favor of the Pats at the half.

The low scoring trend continued into the second half as a combined total of five points was scored in the first six minutes. NCE/U-H couldn’t find a recipe of success committing 27 turnovers and dealing with severe foul trouble all night. The Titans would score just 10 second half points as Win E Mac would win 49-29.

Win E Mac is now 5-17 on the season and will play at Red Lake County Central on Monday. NCE/U-H falls to 3-16 and is the first loss to Win E Mac since 2019. The Titans will travel to Park Christian on Monday.
