Ada City Council discusses Public Works and Liquor Store updates
The Ada City Council met Tuesday evening, concluding the meeting before the 7pm caucus start time.
There’s been discussion in recent months about the city selling the Ada Liquor Store Off-Sale. This began when the City was approached by the owner of Supermarket Foods in Ada. It was a conversation last month, and with some community members. At Tuesday night’s meeting, when Ada Mayor John Hintz asked what council members have been hearing, the topic came to a quick halt. Mayor Hintz explains:
The Ada Public Works building project continues to move forward in the process of building a new building after last summer’s storm damaging/destroying the current building. The Council heard from Rhet architecture. The bidding process begins Thursday. Mayor John Hintz provides details.
Mayor Hintz and the Council have been told that there seems to be strong interest from contractors and that could benefit the city.
