Ada-Borup-West at East Grand Forks Sacred Heart

The Sacred Heart Eagles reserves helped them earn their third consecutive win with a 69-55 victory over the Ada-Borup-West Cougars. Both teams started the game cold from the field with the Eagles leading 10-4 nine minutes into the first half. As the teams’ offenses began to warm up the Eagles’ bench helped get the scoring going as they built an eight-point advantage, in the game the Eagles’ bench players out scored the Cougar bench players by a 24-8 margin. The Cougars were able to cut the lead to three points with just over two minutes remaining in the first half before the Eagles ended the half on an 11-0 run for a 34-20 halftime score. The teams traded buckets back and forth in the second half with the Cougars not able to cut the lead to single digits at any point after halftime. The Eagles would go on another 11-0 run late in the half to firmly seize control of the game and ride out the final minutes to the win.

Sacred Heart is now 13-8 and will host Clearbrook-Gonvick on Friday night, while the Cougars will take a 12-9 overall record on the road to Hillsboro/Central Valley on Friday for a doubleheader.

Ada-Borup-West wins the JV game, (55-45), and C-Team Game (29-26).
