HIllsboro Central Valley picked up a 53-39 victory over Ada-Borup-West Friday night in Hillsboro.   The Burro’s improve to 11-9 with the win( one more victory than last year) with a final week of the regular season remaining for both teams.  Ada-Borup-West slips to 11-10 with two games left before tournament play.  Ada-Borup-West scored the game’s first field goal for their only lead.  The Burro’s led 11-9 after the first quarter, 23-17 at halftime, 38-28 after three quarters.  The largest lead was sixteen points in the second half.  Hillsboro Central Valley’s Paige Cotton scored 16, Rayna Betner 13, and Payton Olson 16.   Cotton and Olson collected 23 rebounds as the Burro’s outrebounded the Cougars 37-19. Ada-Borup-West’s points came from two players, with 20 of 22 second half points scored by senior Morgan Engel.
