Hundreds of area organizations celebrating Giving hearts Day today

Today is Hearts Day, and hundreds of organizations across North Dakota, Minnesota,  and South Dakota are participating. One of the many  local organizations participating in Giving Hearts Day today is the Brady Oberg Legacy Foundation, who have been participating in Giving Hearts Day for over a decade. Some area organizations are also holding special events in celebration of Giving Hearts Day, like Smiley’s Rescue in Fertile. Rescue founder Sydney Williams. 

Many organizations participating in Giving Hearts Day have partnerships with sponsors, who are matching donations, as explained by Tina Penner of St Michael’s Catholic School in Mahnomen. 

There are also many reasons as to why an organization may be fundraising through Giving Hearts Day. Hillary Randash of Inspire Inc in Ada says they are fundraising for a new swing for their clients.
