Ada-Borup-West at Hawley

The Hawley Nuggets hung around and did not allow the Ada-Borup-West Cougars to establish a large lead before the Nuggets ended the game on a 20-7 scoring run for their 63-50 victory over the Cougars. The first half was played back and forth with the Cougars offensive rebounding and second chance scoring helping them to a 22-15 lead with 7:20 remaining in the opening half. The Nuggets defense then forced turnovers and they came back to take a brief lead before a Cougar three-pointer in the waning seconds of the half sent the teams into the locker rooms with a 29-28 Cougar advantage. The Cougars would get a four-point lead multiple times in the second half but each time the Nuggets found a way to score to stay close or tie the game back up. The the Nuggets made their move, powered 11 consecutive points from Evan Schenck the Nuggets outscored the Cougars 20-7 over the final 7:42 of the game for the double digit win. With the victory the Nuggets are now 6-17 overall and will host their Senior Night game versus Park Rapids Area on Friday. The Cougars fourth straight loss drops their record to 12-12 overall with a home matchup versus East Grand Forks on Friday.

Ada-Borup-West wins the C-Team Game (54-53), while Hawley wins the JV Game (66-36).
