Mahnomen/Waubun at Clearbrook-Gonvick

In a game where the final score doesn’t reflect the type of game that was played the Mahnomen Waubun Thunderbirds picked up a 81-63 win over Clearbrook Gonvick.  This was tight game that saw 6 ties and 15 lead changes with the Thunderbirds using a strong inside game while the Bears were hot from the 3 point line.  Mahnomen Waubun would lead at the half 38-37.  The 2nd half would remain tight until about the 6 minute mark when the Bears would find themselves in foul trouble and the Thunderbirds would continue to gain momentum with fast breaks and a huge advantage in the rebounding catagory.  The Thunderbirds would get the win improving their record to 14-11 while the Bears drop to 7-17.
