Kelliher/Northome vs. EGF Sacred Heart

The Kelliher/Northome Mustangs never trailed as they qualified for their first ever state tournament with the 66-45 win over East Grand Forks Sacred Heart. The Mustangs avenged a loss to Sacred Heart in last years Section 8A championship game. Kate Thayer scored 22 points to lead the Mustangs to their 22nd straight win. Kylee Binkley added 17 points for Kelliher/Northome as they improve to 29-1 overall. Lexi Lawrence led the Eagles with 19 points as they end their season with an overall record of 25-5. With the exception of a 4-4 tie the Mustangs led the entire night and took a 37-21 lead into halftime. The only loss for Kelliher/Northome this season was a 100-90 loss to number one ranked Mountain-Iron-Buhl. The loss for Sacred Heart snapped a 16 game winning streak for the Eagles.
