the Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Comets defense and rebounding lead them to a 70-47 playoff victory over the Ada-Borup-West Cougars. The Comets would hold the Cougars to 13 points in the first half with physical defense that did not allow the Cougars to find their rhythm. A double digit lead in the rebounding totals by the Comets also prevented the Cougars from climbing back through offensive rebounds. Meanwhile the Comet offense was able to score in the paint, in transition, and from the three point arc to keep building their lead. The Cougars will finish their season with a 14-14 record and will graduate eight seniors. The Comets improve to 22-5 overall and will face Breckenridge in the next round of the Section 6A tournament.
