Organics Recycling Program Begins
You’ll be able to turn food scraps into compost thanks to a new organics recycling program in Norman, Mahnomen, Polk and Clearwater Counties. Norman County Environmental Services Director Garry Johanson tells us how the idea came about.
All you have to do to take part in this recycling program is pick up a green bag at your county courthouse. Johanson says robots at the regional landfill in Fosston will separate the green bags from the rest of your trash.
Johanson explains what will happen to the green bags filled with food scraps.
For more information on the organics recycling program, contact the county offices in Norman, Mahnomen, Polk, Clearwater, Beltrami and Hubbard Counties.
