North Dakota Health and Human Services is reporting one confirmed case of the measles in Traill County. Brenda Stallman of Traill District Health Unit tells us what we know about this case so far.

While not 100% effective, Stallman says being up to date on your measles vaccine is the best way to protect yourself from the measles.

If you think you have been exposed to the measles, and are showing signs of it, Stallman says there are some protocols you should follow before receiving medical care.

North Dakota has confirmed a statewide total of 23 measles cases to date in 2026. This is the first case reported in Traill County.
