The Red Lake County Rebels never trailed as they advanced to the Section 8A championship game with a 73-39 win over the Northern Freeze in Thief River Falls. Connor Duden led the Rebels with 19 points as Red Lake County improves to 27-3 overall. Ben Gullingsud added 16 points for the Rebels as he connected on four 3 pointers. Will Gieseke added 12 points and 10 rebounds for Red Lake County as they picked up their fifth straight win and ninth win in their last eleven games. It was the third win for the Rebels over the Freeze this season. Brekken Bring came off the bench and led the Freeze with 11 points as they end their season with an overall record of 17-10. Red Lake County will have a chance to defend their section title when they play Friday night at 7:00 pm in Thief River Falls.
