Mentor Child Sex Arrest

A man from Mentor is in custody facing six felony charges after investigators found hundreds of images and videos of child sexual abuse material on his cell phone.  22-year-old Scott Lee Tyler is charged with possessing child sexual abuse material depicting minors under the age of 14.  According to a criminal complaint filed Thursday in Polk County District Court, the investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children sent a tip to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.  The Sheriff’s Office obtained a search warrant and contacted Tyler at his workplace.  Some of the images in the complaint show children as young as 3 and 4 years old in sexually explicit situations.  Tyler is in custody at the Northwest Regional Corrections Center.
