Waubun-Ogema-White Earth School Board meets 

The Waubun-Ogema-White Earth School Board approved the first reading of their 2026/2027 school calendar during their meeting on Wednesday night. Waubun Superintendent Jordan Spaeth says there will be some big changes on next year’s calendar. 

Spaeth says the board also had discussions about the Summer Rec fee structure, but decided to stand pat and make no increases. 

Spaeth says the school board also approved the purchase of new data management software, which he says is a major investment for the district. 

Earlier this year, the school district announced plans to construct a new athletic facility at the school in Waubun, and Spaeth says the project remains in the planning phase, with more information to come soon.
