Fertile-Beltrami Students Earn MN Triple A Awards
FERTILE, MN—Two Fertile-Beltrami High School students are among four who have been selected as Triple A Award state scholarship recipients by the Minnesota State High School League. Katrina Hitchen and Drew Gullickson received the statewide honor over the weekend at the State Boys Basketball Tournament. The Triple A award stands for Academics, Arts and Athletics and it requires a 3.0 grade point average or better and participation in athletics and arts/activities programs sponsored by the State High School League. In February, Katrina and Drew spoke to R&J News about their activities. Here’s Katrina Hitchen:

Drew also has a 4.0 grade point average. Katrina Hitchen will attend the University of North Dakota next fall, majoring in nursing and running on the track team. Drew Gullickson will attend Concordia on a basketball scholarship and will major in nursing. They both receive a $1000 scholarship for each of their four years in college.
