Severe Weather Awareness Week continues in Minnesota….and today’s emphasis is on flooding.  North Dakota State Climatologist Daryl Ritchison tells R&J News the flooding season in the Red River Valley is pretty well over.  He reminds you that heavy rains can cause flooding dangers on roads.

Thursday’s focus on Severe Weather Awareness Week will be the Statewide Tornado Drills. You’ll hear the tornado sirens sound at 1:45 in the afternoon and 6:45 in the evening.  It’s a chance for you and your family to plan where to go if there’s a severe thunderstorm or tornado warning.
