Rainy River Softball Sweeps Ironhawks In Their Only Home Game of 2026

The Rainy River Voyageurs softball team made the most of their only home appearance of the season—sweeping a wild doubleheader from MN North–Vermilion Wednesday night.
Game one was an offensive shootout, with the Voyageurs outlasting the Ironhawks 13–11.

EllaGrace Kellerby powered the win with two home runs and three RBIs, while Kaylynn-Fauve Mol also went deep as part of a six-run fourth inning that flipped the momentum.
After falling behind early, Rainy River leaned on energy and resilience to rally back.
The Voyageurs would need that same fight in game two—and they got it.
Rainy River edged Vermilion 8–7 in a back-and-forth battle, tying the game in the seventh before pulling out the win. Kellerby went the distance in the circle, striking out eight to earn the victory.

Kaylynn-Fauve Mol, Jordyn Robichaud, and Raegan Hansen all contributed key hits, while aggressive baserunning helped spark the offense.
With the sweep, Rainy River builds momentum heading right back into action.
The Voyageurs and Ironhawks run it back today, with first pitch set for 10am at Vermilion.
