Community funding comes through for Traill County Sheriff’s Department K9 Project

Thanks to the donations of several patrons in the Traill County community, the Sheriff’s Department met their goal to bring back a K9 unit to the county. Sheriff Steve Hunt expressed his gratefulness to those that sped up the process.

Hunt says the funds came in even faster than expected and is excited for the next steps in getting the dog ready for duty.

Hunt hopes to get the K9 unit out in the community for the public to see once the dog and handler are ready to begin service.
