Wheat Planting Update
Conditions to start the planting season were not the greatest for wheat growers across the Red River Valley, but the season is now in full swing for most growers in the valley. Local Wheat Producer, and Minnesota Wheat Growers Association member Austen Germolus says wheat planting is behind the five year average.
Germolus says the amount of acres planted for what is also down, thanks to low commodity prices.
However, Germolus says Minnesota Grown wheat is still in demand due to it behind a high quality crop year in and year out.
