Electric bats and dominance on the mound allowed Fertile-Beltrami to end it’s 5 game losing streak. Fertile-Beltrami’s Bryer Strem, Brady Bjerk, and Teegyn Johnson all hit homeruns and 7 of the Falcons’ 13 hits went for extra bases. Caleb Sather had a perfect game going through 3.2 innings and didn’t give up a hit until the 5th inning. That was when Clearbrook-Gonvick scored there lone run of the game, in a moment when they needed to in order to avoid the mercy rule as they were down 10-0 heading into the bottom of the 5th. The Falcons scored 4 more runs in the 7th, two of which came from a 2 run homerun by Teegyn Johnson. The Bears were able to get the bases loaded in the bottom of the 7th, but were unable to get any runs in.

Bryer Strem starred at the plate for Fertile-Beltrami going 3-3 with 2 doubles, a homerun, 2 walks, and an RBI. Drew Gullickson also had 3 hits going 3-5 and led the team with 3 RBI’s. Four other Falcons had 2 RBI’s in the game as well (Brady Bjerk, Caleb Sather, Teegyn Johnson, and Braxton Paul).
Fertile-Beltrami will be on the road again tomorrow at Mahnomen/Waubun.
Clearbrook-Gonvick has a couple days off before facing Badger/Greenbush-Middle River and Red Lake on Friday at home in a triangular.
