Ada Borup West School Board discusses class sizes
Multiple members of the Ada Borup West community attended Tuesday morning’s School Board meeting to ask questions and raise concerns regarding class sizes at Ada Borup West, specifically in 2026/2027 Kindergarten class. Ada Borup West Superintendent Aaron Cook talks about their current Kindergarten predicament, and how the school will be moving forward.
While students remain their number one priority when making these decisions, Cook says the board also has to take the school budget into consideration, as moving to three sections would require them to hire a new position.
When it comes to what’s ideal for class sizes, Cook says Ada Borup West’s ideal class size is 60 students split evenly into three sections.
R&J News will have more from Tuesday morning’s School Board meeting in future news broadcasts.
