When planning a fishing trip don’t overlook Minnesota’s rivers  

The Minnesota Fishing season is now in full swing, and while we may be in the land of 10,000 lakes, Minnesota also has approximately 69,000 thousand miles of rivers and streams that also offer great opportunities for anglers. Nathan Olson of the Minnesota DNR Fisheries Department says area anglers shouldn’t overlook lakes, as many offer excellent fishing opportunities. 

Olson also reminds anglers that if they are taking to one of Minnesota’s lakes or rivers, you need to be doing your part in stopping the spread of aquatic hitchhikers.
