Tick season reminders 

The start of summer also signals the start of tick season in the Midwest, and people are reminded to make sure they are taking the appropriate steps in protecting themselves from ticks when spending time outside. Kelsey Merkens of Norman-Mahnomen Public Health. 

If you do find a tick biting you, Merkens explains how you should deal with it, and treat the bite. 

If you see a bullseye or rash starting to form after a tick bite, you should seek medical attention as soon as possible.
