Extension’s Angie Peltier talks about the importance of Shelterbelts 

If recent windstorms have taught us anything, it’s that shelterbelts are still a very important tool when it comes to keeping your topsoil in your field where it belongs. Dr Angie Peltier of Minnesota Extension says now’s a great time for producers to be planting these shelterbelts. 

Peltier says your local soil and water district can usually assist you during this process. 

While it may be a little late to start the planning for planting this year, Peltier says you could always start planning for next year.
