Hometown Hope seeking food shelf donations with start of summer break
Summer break has arrived for schools across the region, and Hometown Hope in Hendrum is seeking donations for their foodshelf. Hometown Hope Director Kristi Beyl says food shelf usage tends to go up in the summer, as families have an increase in food costs due to the lack of school lunches, and she also highlights some of the items that they are looking for this time of year.
Beyl says if you and your family are in need of assistance this summer, don’t be afraid to reach out as many struggle with increased financial burden in the summer.
Beyl says if you would like to show the food shelf some support, they also accept monetary donations on top of food donations.
