Minnesota DNR reminding people to be bearwise
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is reminding hikers, campers and anyone else enjoying outdoor recreation to do their part in preventing conflicts with bears. Minnesota DNR Northwest Area Wildlife Supervisor Rob Baden reminds area residents to be bearwise.
If a bear does start hanging around your home or property, Baden says there are things you can do to scare it away and let them know they are not welcome.
Baden says it is important to follow these bearwise tips, as bears are continuing to colonize new areas in the region.
