With May in the review mirror, many area producers in “wait and see mode”
Planting is mostly complete across the Red River Valley. During his visit on the Farm and Field Show Brandon Weber of Valley United Cooperative in Reynolds says May was a grind for producers, but now the crop is in the ground and popping out of the ground slowly.
On top of dealing with the cooler May temperatures, Weber says many area producers also have to deal with wind damage.
While some replanting is underway or complete, Weber says a lot of producers are choosing to wait and see what happens.
The Farm and Field Show airs Wednesday afternoons at 2 on KRJB 106.5 FM.
