North Dakota Division A & 9-Man Preseason Football Polls Announced
The opening weekend of prep football in North Dakota has arrived with the first Division A and 9-man football polls of the season as voted on by members of the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.
Familiar names are on top of the polls with defending Division A champ Langdon Area-Munich earning the No. 1 spot. The Cardinals beat Bottineau for their first football championship since 2020.
Back-to-back 9-man state champ New Rockford-Sheyenne-Maddock is the preseason favorite with the No. 1 spot. The Rockets beat LaMoure-Litchville/Marion the past two seasons in the state championship.
High school football in North Dakota has games this Thursday – Saturday across the state for Division A and 9-man. Division 2A and 3A get underway the weekend of August 28.
