Youth Online Safety: What Websites should I as a parent be cautious of? 

As the internet becomes more ingrained in our everyday lives, children today are getting access to the internet earlier than they’ve ever before. However, this leaves your child more vulnerable to bad actors online, which means it’s important for parents to be monitoring what their child is doing online. Polk County Investigator Tom Brault says it’s important for parents to remember that when they give their child access to the internet, the internet is also getting access to them. 

Brault says one website parents should be extra cautious of is Roblox, which is very popular with younger children. 

While you should be cautious of all websites, Brault shares some other websites, and platforms parents should be aware of.
