Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office shares summer reminders 

Summer time is here, which means that Minnesota’s roads, trails, cities, and waters are the busiest they’ll be this year, and the Clearwater County Sheriff is encouraging people to celebrate summertime safely. Clearwater County Chief Deputy Vern Wittenberg says one place people need to take extra precaution is on Minnesota’s ATV trails, and he shares some basic safety reminders for riders. 

Wittenberg says people also need to be following proper safety precautions when recreating on Minnesota’s many lakes. 

Before you go out on the lake, Witternberg says there are also new boating operation laws that you should be aware of, and in compliance with.
