Resources available to parents & children dealing with online sextortion 

Sextortion is a crime that has seen a major rise in American youth over the last couple of years, and for many children this crime will often go unreported. Polk County Sheriff’s Investigator Tom Brault says these exploiters are using fear and shame to not only blackmail these children, but also to keep them reporting these crimes. 

While there is a fear when it comes to the reporting of these crimes, Brault asks that you do come forward if you are being exploited, and that there are resources available to youth and parents.
