Fall Colors to come early this year 

The fall season is just about here, but for those looking to take a trip to a local state park or recreation area to take in the fall colors, you may need to take your trip earlier than normal. Itasca State Park Lead Naturalist Connie Cox says summer drought conditions are causing the tree to change earlier than normal. 

If you are planning a trip to see the fall colors at your favorite state park or recreation area, but don’t know when peak will hit, Cox says the DNR has an online tool that you can use to help.
