Teen Girl Hospitalized After ATV Crash

A teenage girl was airlifted to a Fargo hospital after she was thrown from an ATV Saturday night.  The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash around 8:30 Saturday night at 280th Avenue near Pelican Rapids.  A 15-year-old boy from Dent who was driving the ATV lost control of the ATV, veered off the road into a ditch and hit a downed tree.  The driver and his 17-year-old female passenger from Dent were both thrown from the vehicle.  The girl suffered head, hip and neck injuries; she’s being treated at a Fargo hospital.  No updates on her condition.  The driver was not injured.  Neither was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The accident remains under investigation
