AA Sweeps A/B in opening night of Lions Basketball Series

GIRLS GAME – AA 85 A/B 70

Mataya Messer from Bismarck St. Mary’s paced AA with 15 points and 6 rebounds while Fargo Davies product Quinn Skari added 14 points.

Skotti Beck from South Prairie-Max paced A/B with 13 points while Taya Aufforth from Kenmare-Bowbells added 11 points. Game two of the series is Thursday, July 9 at Fargo South at 6 p.m.

A/B boys opened up with an 8-4 run before the AA boys scored the next 16 points and never trailed the rest of the contest. Bismarck High product Artie Carlow finished with 26 points and went 7/8 from the line. Carter Evanson from West Fargo Horace added 12 points for AA.

Sage Hanson from Towner-Granville-Upham paced A/B with 14 points while Carson Quam from Shiloh Christian added 12 points. Game two of the series is Thursday, July 9 at Fargo South at 8 p.m.
