Moorhead Drug Arrest
A Moorhead man has been arrested after police seized a large amount of drugs that was being delivered to the Fargo/Moorhead area. Detectives with the Moorhead Police Narcotics Unit learned that suspects would be transporting illegal narcotics from the Twin Cities to the Fargo/Moorhead area. On July 8th, those detectives along with officers from the Cass County Drug Task Force and Clay County Sheriff’s Office found the vehicle and stopped it near Barnesville. A search of the vehicle turned up suspected methamphetamine, suspected psilocybin mushrooms and a large amount of US currency. A subsequent search of the suspect’s home turned up more meth and mushrooms, plus illegally possessed controlled medications. All those were seized. Law enforcement say the meth has a street value of $20,000, the mushrooms about $3400 and about $2100 in cash and a 2021 Jeep Cherokee were seized. The driver, 45-year-old Jason Fliflet of Moorhead, was arrested and is being held in the Clay County Jail. While no formal charges have been filed, Fliflet is being held on suspicion of aggravated first degree sale and possession of meth, first degree sale and possession of meth, second degree possession of psilocybin mushrooms and fifth degree possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.
