BSU QB Shatters School Rushing Record

In a rain-soaked Saturday performance for the history books, Connor Carver put on a rushing masterclass, leading Bemidji State to a 37-19 win over Minot State while shattering the school’s single-game rushing record.

With rainy conditions forcing BSU to abandon the air attack and attempt just three passes all game, Carver took complete control on the ground. He rushed for an astounding 335 yards and four touchdowns, breaking the previous program record of 319 yards set by John Gronski back in 1987.

Carver’s historic day featured a string of explosive plays, including runs of 42 and 52 yards to set up early scores, a 20-yard fourth-down touchdown, and a game-clinching 47-yard touchdown sprint in the fourth quarter. By the final whistle, Carver had single-handedly accounted for four of BSU’s five touchdowns, averaging over nine yards per carry and capping off the record-breaking performance with a celebratory leap into Lake Bemidji with his teammates on homecoming.
