Pacheco Arrested In Baxter
He’d been on the run for two months after an August shooting in Mahnomen. On Monday, 24-year-old Ryan Pacheco was arrested in Baxter. Pacheco was wanted in connection with what White Earth Tribal Police called a targeted shooting in Mahnomen on July 31st. Two people were injured in that shooting. Pacheco was on the run until Monday, when the US Marshals North Star Fugitive Task Force arrested him at an apartment in Baxter. Pacheco was wanted on a federal warrant for a supervised release violation, as well as a Minnesota state warrant charging him with two counts of attempted second-degree murder, one count of first-degree assault, three counts of second-degree assault involving a dangerous weapon and substantial bodily harm, and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm by a person previously convicted of a crime of violence. Police from Brainerd, Baxter and the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Fugitive Task Force with the arrest. Pacheco was arrested without incident.
