Sugarbeet Harvest Update

The Red River Valley Sugarbeet Harvest is underway, but warm weather has been slowing progress. Ada area farmer Neil Rockstad told R&J News that the sugarbeet harvest is about 30 percent complete, and he explains how harvest conditions are.

While they might be frustrating for producers, Rockstad says the decision to shut down harvest during the day is the correct move.

Rockstad says it’s important to be patient as conditions will improve, and they will be moving to the 24 hr harvest cycle.
